You Are Not to Utter These Words…
"I can’t!" – Is that clear? I don’t want to hear you say that to yourself. Other people may tell you that you can’t or they may try and pull you down with totally unconstructive negativity, but your own voice of doubt has more destructive power than anyone outside of you.
Good. I hope that’s clear. What I refer to in this song as your shadow is that very voice of doubt; all those thought you may have from time to time that steal your motivation, enthusiasm and self-belief. Don’t buy into it and keep going. You’re closer to success than you could possibly imagine.
So this explains what the song is about and I hope this helps. I wrote it initially to help myself, as I did with most of my songs as a way of keeping me on track to achieve the biggest intention of my life. It worked for me and I want to pass it on!

The respect is mutual. I’m currently locked away redesigning this site. It’ll be full of interactivity and ways to connect. I would love to serve a purpose as a songwriter that is outside of the normal “indie artist” definition. I.E. something more interesting than trying to just get people to buy my MP3s!
