The Boy at Heart Debut Album

An uplifting, rocking album inspired by my own journey from mediocrity to the life of my dreams. Between Late August, up until the end of October 2008 I recorded by first solo album. The recording sessions were intense. I wanted to complete the album quickly, but not at the expense of quality. It also coincided with my participation of the 2008 50/90 songwriting challenge, run by FAWM, to write 50 new songs in 90 days, which intensified the recording process even more.

As hard as it is for me to believe it now, looking back. I succeeded in writing and recording demos for those 50 new songs by October 1st at the very same time I was working on the production of All in a Life’s Work. In fact, whilst it may seem counter intuitive to have my concentration pulled between recording an album and writing many new songs, not intended for that album, it gave me the momentum of energy to pull it off. The results for me were stunning and I was and still am overjoyed at my achievement.

In 90 days I had 50 new songs and a brand new album. Actually a couple of the songs from the 50/90 challenge made their way onto the album at the expense of songs that were already on the track list. It worked so well that I would love to try the same kind of thing again.

The album itself, in a roundabout way tells a story of my journey from longing to live a more fulfilling life to actually living one. The songs themselves were written to inspire me and to keep my mind focused on what I really wanted to achieve. I achieved what I wanted and I give a lot of the credit to many of the songs I was able to write as I worked toward changing my life for the better.

I figure that if they had that affect on me then they can for you too. You can download the songs for free if you want in a much higher quality format than you would normally get from crappy itunes.
