Hollywood, Tsunamis and Huey Lewis

The energy I had surviving the tsunami carried me through to completing that 11-track album by mid may. I had started it in February. By the end of the year I had lost touch with the lovely woman in Thailand, moved to a new town and a new job, was feeling pretty unfulfilled again planning a trip to the USA to see a friend there who wanted to help us with our music and was totally behind what he said was a truly great album. I very breifly got to meet Huey Lewis too, which was cool!

Video Update – Recording Guitars

Album Update: Drums Complete

So now the rhythm section is tracked. I had a sound in my head of what I wanted the drums and bass to sound like, which was as big and warm as possible, so that even by themselves they would really get the listener moving and it seems that the sound has come out so far fulfilling that desire and more. I am really excited at this stage. Next will be laying down guitar tracks, which is my favourite part…
